We recently hosted a webinar to discuss how to easily monitor an organization’s purchasing or credit card usage using our P-Card monitoring solution. Hugely attended, this lively webinar led to a series of thoughtful questions from our audience that we’re excited to share with you. Here are the highlights:
Q: How long does it take to create the queries and graphs?
A: The queries and graphs take seconds to populate. You simply select what analysis you want done and the graphs are generated immediately.
Q: Can you provide a list of all possible tests that can run with the application?
A: The application can run a very wide range of tests. Some of the most popular P-Card tests look at:
- Duplicate payments through AP and/or T&E
- Duplicate transactions (same day, merchant or amount)
- Even dollar amounts
- Non-preferred vendor spend
- Card used at unauthorized merchant
- Employees with multiple cards
- Open cards with non-active employees
- Personal purchases
- Card limit exceeded
- Unusual increase in cardholder’s average spend
Q: What happens when an outlier or exception is identified?
A: The solution includes standard resolution guidelines to help users resolve the generated alerts/exceptions. In addition, during implementation we work with you to determine if there are other corporate guidelines unique to your process that should be added.
Q: Is the solution ready to install and run?
A: Yes, we sell the solution ready to install and run. We also offer the option to customize the solution based on your organization’s needs.
Q: Do I install the solution on my computer or is it cloud-based?
A: The solution can be installed on premise or accessed via the cloud, whichever you prefer.
Q: Does the software you use to analyze the data provide the reporting graphs or is the reporting done in a separate software program?
A: All of the analysis, reports and graphs are done within a single platform. The solution includes interactive charts and graphs that allow users to drill down to the exception details.
